As far as primates go, none has the allure and mystique of the gorilla. That’s what attracts my girlfriend Meghan to them with an obsessive fervor…that or they’re just so darn so cute! Well, not all are, but this one sure is. Cute and mean, playful and serious all at the same time.

This was a gift to Meghan on the first birthday we celebrated together. I gave it to her at Backstreet Blues, a Rockville Centre bar that doubled as the stage for my musical performance development and our courting. The rest, as they say, is history.
This piece holds memories and secrets. It is somewhat of a cornerstone in our history.
